How to Play
Sit Chilly is a fantasy game for equestrian show jumping. You create a barn, pick your riders, they jump, and you score points based on how they place.
You don’t need to know the sport, and playing can take as little as five minutes per event.
First, the sport in three sentences
In a show jumping class, horse-and-rider pairs take turns riding a course of fences, one pair at a time. Knock a rail down or go too slowly and it costs you; the best rounds finish placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. That finishing order is all Sit Chilly needs — your points come straight from where your picks place.
Your barn
When you join a league, you set up a barn — your team. You name it, give it a logo if you like, and it’s yours for the season. Your barn is how you appear in the standings against your friends.
Picking your five
Before each event, you pick five entries. An entry is a specific horse-and-rider pair competing in that event — not just a rider, because a rider sometimes jumps two different horses in the same class. If you love a rider on both of their horses, you can pick both; that uses two of your five.
Your league page tells you the moment picks open for each event, and everything you need to choose — the running order and each rider’s world ranking — is in the app. Picks close shortly before the class starts.
How points arrive
When the class runs, every entry that finishes earns points from a ladder: 1st place is worth the most, and every finisher earns at least one point. Your barn’s score for the event is simply what your five picks earned, added up. Scores build event over event into season standings, and the barn on top at the end of the season is the champion.
Joining a game
Most people arrive by invitation — a friend running a league sends you a link, you accept, and you’re in. You can also create an account and start a league of your own. Curious about anything else? See the FAQ.
